Cold is a major factor in the northeast that decreases our mobility, causes fatigue, and causes a decrease in bottom time. A dry suit will protect you from the cold and allow a more enjoyable dive.

In this course you will learn the proper use, care and maintenance of your suit, along with proper safety techniques to follow. You will also be taught proper buoyancy control, ascent and descent control, and the different types of insulation available to the diver. A Drysuit Diver certification card will be awarded upon the completion of your course.

Topics include:

• The planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of dry suit diving.
• Proper procedures for buoyancy control.
• Ascent and descent technique training.
• Routine, user-level, preventative maintenance and performance checks on dry suits.
